The Roger II takes inspiration from the King of Sicily. The metal front, entirely studded with yellow micro-diamonds, recreates breathtaking effects inspired by the mosaics of Roger II’s hall, where the whole decorative structure is laid out on a single tessera background laced with gold leaf. The hinges are plated in 24k yellow gold. The shape of the surfaces and edges of Roger II are inspired by the facets of a brilliant cut diamond, together with the geometric rigor typical of Frederick’s art, projected into a futuristic design.
